Cade’s senior year at Dawson High School has been shaped by his love for music and the hours he has invested in perfecting his sound. He has been a dedicated member of the Dawson High School Marching Band and played in the Dawson Wind Ensemble, the 2025 TMEA Honor Band 6A Champions. The Wind Ensemble was also invited to perform at the 78th annual Midwest Clinic. His goal after graduation is to study with professional musicians and pursue a career in performance.

I designed his senior portrait session to reflect who he is right now, a focused musician with a clear path ahead. We used meaningful locations across the Dawson campus, added his letter jacket, and incorporated his trumpet to highlight the work that brought him here. This session is a strong example of how senior portraits can tell a story, especially for Houston and Pearland seniors who want their photos to feel personal and true.

Why Cade’s Story Matters

Cade has put in years of work as a trumpet player, both in and out of the classroom. His time in the Dawson High School Marching Band, along with his experience in the Dawson Band Wind Ensemble, shaped how we planned his session. His dedication shows in how he carries himself, prepares, and talks about his goals. He wants to continue studying with professional musicians after graduation and pursue a career in performance.

Senior sessions take on more meaning when they reflect what students care about. Cade’s passion for music guided every choice we made, from the locations to the lighting to the moments we highlighted. Families in Houston and Pearland often want portraits that feel true to their senior’s personality, and Cade’s session is a clear example of how that approach creates images that last.

How the Session Was Designed Around Cade

Every part of Cade’s session was planned to showcase who he is as a musician and as a senior preparing for his next step. We mixed locations that hold meaning for him, including the field, the school halls, and the areas around the Dawson campus where he spent much of his time. His letter jacket gave us a strong visual tie to his work in band. His trumpet added a clear connection to the years of practice that shaped his goals.

We used a blend of natural light outdoors and controlled studio lighting indoors to capture different sides of his personality. The outdoor images show confidence and ease. The studio and shadowed portraits highlight focus and discipline. This approach works well for seniors across Houston and Pearland who want a gallery that feels unique and personal.

Cade’s interests guided the session flow and gave each image purpose. This is the kind of planning that helps families get photos that feel meaningful and true to their senior.
