Every once in a while, I leave a senior session feeling like I’ve been part of something truly special — and Magdalena’s shoot was exactly that. From the moment we began, I knew this wasn’t just going to be a session about pretty photos. It was going to be about storytelling, legacy, and love.

Magdalena is a senior at Dawson High School and a proud member of the Dawson Eagle Band, where she plays the bassoon. She’s been deeply involved in her music throughout high school, and it was such an honor to incorporate that part of her journey into the session.

We met at a stunning outdoor location, filled with soft florals and golden light. Magdalena showed up in a green floral dress, paired with the most perfect white cowgirl boots — and she absolutely glowed. As soon as she stepped in front of the camera, she brought confidence, grace, and warmth.

A Senior Session with Heart


What made this session even more meaningful? Magdalena brought a photo of her grandmother to honor her memory — and let me tell you, it was emotional in the best way. Capturing that image — her smile, her grip on that photo, the tenderness in her eyes — was something I’ll never forget. It was a beautiful tribute and a powerful reminder of how much photography can hold.

She also shared part of this session with her mom, and those moments between them were pure joy. We captured big hugs, proud smiles, and so much love. These are the kinds of portraits that go beyond just a graduation milestone — they become family treasures.

What’s Next for Magdalena

Magdalena is heading into the next chapter with big plans. After graduation, she’ll be pursuing a degree in Nursing, driven by her passion for helping people and making a difference. She already carries the calm strength and empathy that will make her incredible in that field — and I have no doubt she’ll thrive.
